If you're not sure, ask.
It may seem like a simple thing, but many of us hold back from asking the important questions as we may not want to be seen as 'difficult', or 'stupid' when dealing with a website designer.
When it comes to your website design and set up, ask. If you're not sure about something, get it confirmed in writing so that both you and your designer know exactly what is expected and what the final outcome will be. Some examples include:
๐ Will you have access to your website to make updates?
๐ Do you own your domain name?
๐ Where is your domain name and website hosted? Do you have those login details?
๐ What content are you expected to provide to the designer?
๐ How long will the design process take?
It may be tempting to bury your head in the sand when it comes to the technical aspects of your business, but knowing the above could save you time and money later on down the line. So, if you're not sure, ask.
