From the first discovery call right through to the final launch, the process of your website design should be about possibility and simplicity - the possibility of what your new site can do, and the simplicity of your involvement.

We are passionate about Squarespace website design, and that comes across as soon as we start talking with clients about what they would like to achieve with their website. That kind of enthusiasm is contagious, and we love it when clients finish our call excited about the next steps - and keen to get started!

Here’s what to expect when working with Hot Lizard Designs:

INITIAL DISCUSSION

Contact HLD and tell us more about your project. This can be via email, phone, Zoom / Skype - whichever is easiest for you. We will discuss scope of your project, options, timelines, availability and if we are a good fit.

PROPOSAL

If you are ready to move forward, you will receive a proposal detailing the scope of work, investment fee, optional design elements to compliment your project, terms and conditions, and an invite for 50% deposit if you wish to proceed.

SECURE YOUR DESIGN SLOT

Once your deposit is paid, we finalise a start date for your project that allows you enough time to gather your content before the project starts.

START PROJECT

Here is where you let us do what we do best. Using your content we structure and design your website to make it user-friendly, mobile responsive, and SEO optimised where possible. We also add designer touches to elevate your site design for a customised, individual look to match your branding.

REVIEW DRAFT

When your draft site is ready for review, you are sent an email (with link if we have set up your Squarespace site) so you can see your new site for the first time! Feedback is actively encouraged as we want you to be delighted with the final result.

REVISIONS

Your site design is fine-tuned based on your feedback. There are two rounds of revisions included (if needed), and you are kept updated on the progress of those revisions. It is highly recommended that revision requests are are sent via email to ensure no details are missed.

HANDOVER

With revisions completed, HLD goes through your site for a final check to make sure everything is displayed properly and working as it should. If you have selected a live tutorial, one is arranged at a mutually convenient time and we go through how your site works. The final 50% balance is then due, and full ownership of your site is transferred to you. Please note that the handover process can vary on each project depending on requirements and agreed scope.

YOUR NEW SITE IS LIVE!

This is the exciting part! You now have an amazing new website that you want to show off. As your business evolves, you can make edits and changes to your site at any time - or get back in touch and let us do it for you.
